GIS Solutions for Smart Cities and Connected Mobility
MTECH, partnered with Etch, was selected from a highly competitive environment of vendors as the solution for the Multi-Modal Trip Planning Application (MMTPA) because of our expertise, our local connections, and our commitment to a foundation of open, free, and proven technologies. There are no dependencies on subscription services, proprietary code, or commercially-licensed data in our solution. We are using OpenTripPlanner as the basis for the MMTPA.
Using open-source solutions and creating security through blockchain technology, we are creating a solution that will integrate with transit providers that want to participate and integrate their technology!
Users can book trips with the assurance that their travel history or other personal information is not available to anyone, including the project team, unless they volunteer to release certain information for platform improvement or trip booking.
We are excited to be working with SmartColumbus and look forward to proudly introducing a new app to Columbus residents who can book multiple methods of travel to reach their destination, merging scooters, buses and rideshare, for example.
